Religion
The most prominent religions in the Ming Dynasty were Taoism and Buddhism. The Ming's were very in touch with nature. In order to stay this way, they devoted scriptures to nature to continuously re-establish this connection. Most all those who believed in Buddhism spent their entire lives dedicating themselves to him. Many people believe Buddhism is the main source that shaped the way Chinese people thought back then and even today.
Culture
The Ming Dynasty was a very influential dynasty in Asia. Since artisans were major producers, they were given freedom to make whatever they wanted. Some of the items they made included porcelain and silk. Although the Ming Dynasty still had social classes, they were not near as clear as other dynasties. The Ming's grouped a lot of people together and saw them more as a community instead of four distinct groups that were to be treated differently. A few other hobbies that flourished during the Ming Dynasty were painting, music, drama, and poetry.
